Volunteers and friends of Madison Avenue Christian Church served over 200 hot Christmas dinners and held its annual Santa’s Workshop for families in need. Every child received a visit with Santa and a toy. Gifts of warm clothing, scarves, gloves and hats were offered for the adults who attended. Thanks to all those who gave of their time and gifts to help make the annual event a success!
A special treat was a visit by Cincinnati Reds’ mascot, Gapper. 
Madison Avenue Church will host its community dinner for the homeless and poor on Wednesday, December 21st and in addition, Santa’s Workshop will provide all the children and families with special gifts and treats. To volunteer or provide items for Santa’s Workshop, contact Kyle@mchurch.com.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, number 89 Jerome Simpson has been seen recently helping to serve food to the poor and hungry at Madison Avenue Christian Church’s community dinners. His home is in Northern Carolina, and Jerome Simpson resides in Crestview Hills, KY during the Bengals season. ”People enjoy meeting him and I think Jerome is enjoying helping just as much,” said Pastor Simon.

The four Sundays leading up to Christmas are always special at Madison Avenue Christian Church. Decorations make our beautiful sanctuary even more inspirational. This year, because Christmas falls on Sunday December 25th, our first Sunday in Advent is November 27th. On December 11th the choir will be presenting Vivaldi’s Gloria with a string quartet accompaniment. December 18th trumpeter Bryan Crisp will join us. Christmas Eve will be marked with a traditional candlelight service.
