Shaping Our Destiny
Do we have an active role in shaping our destiny? Do we helplessly accept what comes our way? Our destiny does not belong to us; it belongs to God. “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11). Exploring God’s plan for us is a journey of a lifetime for those who know that they belong to God.
Actively engaging in shaping our moments is not because we can but because God is able, and God’s plan for us is essentially good.
- Do not accept the wrong that comes to face you to have power over you.
- Do you believe that God’s power can overcome all wrongs?
- Defy your temptation to accept bad news to be your news.
- Know that God does not intend bad but good.
- Remember God’s guidance in the past, and you can see God guiding you in the present and the future.
Live daily, trusting in the power God has already placed in you.
Eternal God, let me live today knowing that all harm can be overcome because I am in your care. Amen.
